The OVERFLOWING Templar Healer is the first entry in The Templar Awakens series — pure Templar, no subclassing, built for the heaviest pressure in U50 Cyrodiil. It doesn't make your heals bigger; it turns your whole group into a sponge with Sanctuary's healing-received boost, walls you behind Trial by Fire's elemental armor, and feeds resources through Symphony of Blades. The new U50 Class Mastery passives — Bastion of Light and Devout Guardian — shield you and pour Ultimate back just for holding your ground. Class Mastery Passives
Bastion of Light Generates 2 Ultimate while you are at full Health. Between Reviving Barrier, the two stacking group heals-over-time, and Trial by Fire's armor wall, this build keeps you topped off almost permanently — so Bastion feeds your Ultimate economy in the background. It does not increase healing; it converts your survivability into Ultimate uptime.
Devout Guardian Grants 10 Ultimate the moment one of your damage shields is broken. Reviving Barrier and the build's shield layers mean that's a regular event under pressure, so every time the enemy cracks your shields they hand you Ultimate back. Paired with Bastion of Light, the two passives turn holding your ground into a steady Ultimate engine — verified behavior, not an infinite loop.

Who This Build Is For

This is a two-bar pure Templar group healer for open Cyrodiil and organized group play in the U50 meta. You want it if you run with a small-scale or larger group, you'd rather keep your whole team alive through layered, always-on effects than react with cooldowns, and you want to maximize your group's effective health instead of your own damage. It scales down to duos and small-scale with a single skill swap, and it leans on the U50 Class Mastery passives that only pure-class players can reach — so it is built specifically for players who have committed to a non-subclassed Templar.

Pure Templar — and Why It Matters in U50

The meta has insisted for patches that you have to subclass to be competitive. This build is the Templar answer to that, and it is the first entry in The Templar Awakens series. Giving up subclassing is not a sacrifice here; it is the unlock. On U50, Class Mastery Passives go live, and they are only available to pure-class characters — subclassers cannot touch them. Going pure Templar is what turns the survivability into an Ultimate engine, and that trade is the entire bet of the build.

The OVERFLOWING Engine — The Three Sets

Sanctuary is the signature set and the reason for the name. It does not increase your healing done — it increases healing received, for you and your whole group, and because that bonus is unnamed it stacks on top of Major and Minor Vitality instead of overwriting them. That is the OVERFLOWING engine: not bigger heals, but a group turned into a sponge so every heal that lands hits harder. Trial by Fire backs it up with a large chunk of Armor whenever you are under an Elemental Status Effect, and in Cyrodiil, with status effects constantly flying, that is near-permanent uptime on a serious resistance wall. Two pieces of Symphony of Blades round it out: when you heal an ally who is low on Magicka or Stamina, they get Meridia's Favor, pouring resources back into them. It cannot target you and runs on a per-ally cooldown, but in a coordinated group it is the difference between a teammate going dry and a teammate staying in the fight.

The Front Bar

The front bar is the Restoration staff — your main healing bar. Living Dark protects you personally, healing you whenever you take direct damage and snaring whoever is hitting you. Blessing of Restoration layers a burst heal on top and hands the group Minor Resolve. Radiating Regeneration is your bread-and-butter heal-over-time, hitting you and up to three allies and prioritizing the lowest. Echoing Vigor is a second, wide-radius heal-over-time, so your group is soaked in two stacking heals-over-time at all times. Race Against Time gives you Major Expedition and Minor Force and, just as importantly, breaks snares and roots and grants brief immunity to them. The ultimate is Reviving Barrier, a group-wide damage shield that leaves a heal-over-time behind when it lands — shields first, then heals, your panic button for the whole team. In a duo or very small group, pull Echoing Vigor and slot Breath of Life instead: a no-aim instant burst that heals the ally in front of you and one other injured target. The wide spread of Echoing Vigor wins in larger groups; the on-demand burst of Breath of Life wins in small-scale.

The Back Bar

The back bar is one-hand and shield, for survivability. Overflowing Altar plants a fountain that applies Minor Lifesteal to enemies — healing you and your allies whenever you damage them — and offers the Blood Feast synergy, a massive instant heal an ally can trigger the moment they start dropping. Channeled Focus gives you Major Resolve and a steady stream of Magicka back while you stand in its rune; note that is Major Resolve on you, while Blessing of Restoration hands Minor Resolve to the group, so the two never overlap and waste. Extended Ritual is your cleanse: it strips up to five harmful effects off you instantly and lays down a heal-over-time, plus the Purify synergy so allies can cleanse themselves. Luminous Shards drops a spear that returns Magicka and Stamina through the Holy Shards synergy, and it quietly doubles as a piece of the Class Mastery engine, since Spear Shards applies Sacred Ground. Energy Orb is a floating heal globe carrying the Healing Combustion synergy for even more resource return. The default ultimate is Practiced Incantation; against bomber groups or in Night Market, swap to Solar Prison for the Gravity Crush stun.

Class Mastery Passives

Here is the part subclassers cannot have. None of the five Templar Class Mastery passives actually buffs your healing output, so the two picks go to the survival and Ultimate engine instead. Bastion of Light feeds you Ultimate while you sit at full Health, and between Reviving Barrier, the two stacking group heals-over-time, and Trial by Fire's armor wall, this build keeps you topped off almost permanently. Devout Guardian dumps a burst of Ultimate the moment one of your damage shields breaks, and under real pressure that is a regular event. Together they turn holding your ground into a steady Ultimate engine — to be clear, this is the verified behavior, not an infinite-Ultimate loop; it is reliable, not bottomless. Because Spear Shards applies Sacred Ground, Luminous Shards keeps the engine fed, which is why there is no need to spend a pick on Steadfast Candescence.

Champion Points

Both trees lean toward keeping you and your group alive — the slotted Warfare and Fitness stars are listed above and in The Hist. The philosophy is simple: there are no offensive concessions in the CP setup, because this build's offensive contribution is its healing throughput, not its damage.

How It Plays

The build does most of its work in the background. Your heals-over-time keep the group soaked, Sanctuary makes every one of them land harder, Trial by Fire holds your resistance wall, and Channeled Focus keeps Major Resolve up. Your job is to keep the heals rolling, stay at full health so Bastion of Light keeps feeding Ultimate, and let Reviving Barrier and Overflowing Altar's Blood Feast be your panic buttons when someone gets caught. It is not a turret — the engine only runs when you are positioned in the fight with your group, not parked at the back. The loop is heal, position, swap, refresh, not reactive button-mashing under burst.

The Templar Awakens Series

This is the first entry in The Templar Awakens series — pure Templar, built for U50. It is the Templar counterpart to The DIVINE Pure Warden Healer over in The Warden Awakens line. If you are bracing for the U50 werewolf rework, the Wwullies survival breakdown pairs directly with this build's cleanses and shields. And the series is only getting started — the next stop is somewhere a whole lot colder.
