Who This Is For

Every bomb in Cyrodiil needs a spark. Your bombers need Ultimate, they need the enemy stacked, and they need them stuck in place. I call it the Ignition: my Dragonknight support healer for exactly that job: it feeds your group Ultimate, then hands your bombers a root. I built it for small-scale groups, and it works great in a bigger, organized group too. If you like being the player who makes everyone else's big moment happen, this one's for you. If you mostly solo or duel, it isn't. Almost everything here pays off through your group.

Dragonknight in Update 51

ZOS toned down how much a Dragonknight can heal itself in PvP in Update 51, because some self-healing setups were getting oppressive. None of those skills are on this build. This build's healing goes out to your group. Dragonknight is also still the only class that's been through the class refresh, so the DK half of this build isn't waiting on a rework. So why Green Balance instead of Draconic Power? Draconic Power gives your group Minor Brutality. But Green Balance gives this build more of what it's for: Budding Seeds, the Harvest synergy, and the Maturation passive, which gives everyone you heal Minor Toughness and raises their Max Health by ten percent. Since Magma Shell's shield is based on your allies' Max Health, Maturation makes that bigger too.

Character and Consumables

I'm on a Breton for the extra Magicka, the extra Spell Resistance and cheaper Magicka skills. The Thief mundus, Jewels of Misrule for food, and every attribute point in Health. Health isn't just survival here: Hearth and Home and Earthshield Mantle both scale off your Max Health, so the tank stats are heal stats. For potions I run Essence of Power, which gives you Major Brutality and restores both Magicka and Stamina. Where you drink it matters more than which one you drink. More on that below.

Why the Sets Are Split Across Your Bars

This build splits its sets across the two bars on purpose. The Restoration Staff bar runs five pieces of Robes of Transmutation: hands, waist and feet, plus the staff. Every time you heal someone with a healing over time ability, they get extra Critical Resistance for four seconds, so your heals make your group harder to crit. The dagger bar runs five pieces of Arkasis's Genius: legs, necklace, a ring and both daggers. Drink a potion in combat and you plus three group members gain Ultimate, once every thirty seconds. That's the heart of the build. Earthgore on head and shoulders drops a pool under anyone you heal below half Health that removes harmful area effects, which is gold against bombs and ground effects. The chest is a single piece of Armor of the Trainee for a little more Max Health. The mythic is the Markyn Ring of Majesty. I'll be honest about it: because of the bar split, you only ever have two full sets on a bar, so you're getting two stacks of it, not three. It's still worth it, but it's the softest slot on the build, and it's the first thing my no-mythic version replaces.

Two Ultimates, Two Jobs

Shifting Standard on the front bar is the ignition. It burns enemies and hits them with Major Defile, so they take less healing and their shields are weaker, and you can recast it to move the standard to you. Your bombers can take the Shackle synergy, which damages everyone in the area and roots them for five seconds. Magma Shell on the back bar is the opposite tool. It caps incoming damage at three percent of your Max Health and gives every nearby ally a big damage shield. The catch: while it's up, you can't build Ultimate yourself. So Standard when the group is going in and the bombers are ready, and Magma Shell when the fight turns and everyone needs to survive the next ten seconds.

The Potion Rule and the Loop

This is the most important rule on the build: drink your potion on the dagger bar. Arkasis's Genius is only a full set there, so a potion on the resto bar gives your group nothing. Swap, drink, and three teammates get Ultimate with you. Pair that with Hearth and Home, which gives allies standing in it Minor Heroism and Ultimate every second and a half, and your bombers' ults come back faster than they're used to. Between Standard's Shackle, Budding Seeds' Harvest and Energy Orb's Healing Combustion, you're also offering your group three synergies. Two of your skills cost Stamina, Echoing Vigor and Quick Cloak, so don't call this a pure Magicka build. Jewels of Misrule covers it.

Champion Points

Warfare: Ironclad and Unassailable for less damage from direct and area attacks, Soothing Tide for stronger area heals, and Fighting Finesse for stronger critical heals. Fitness: Pain's Refuge and Sustained by Suffering reward you for being covered in negative effects, and Survival Instincts makes your skills cheaper while you're hit by status effects. Bracing Anchor lets you block more damage, but it slows you by sixteen percent in combat at every stage. I keep it anyway, and Quick Cloak and Race Against Time cover the speed. If you'd rather stay fast, that's the slot to change. Pain's Refuge needs all fifty points before it does anything.

What's Next

I'm testing a no-mythic version of this idea on my PC account, running two Warden skill lines and one Dragonknight line. Some of the big bombs in the video are from those runs. It isn't a build yet because I'm still tuning the sustain, but it's coming. If you want more group support healers, the Antidote Templar and the Stalwart Arcanist are next. The music in the video is "Maybe Something New," composed by my friend Finite. If you enjoyed it, tell me on YouTube or in the Discord and I'll pass it on.
