Overview
Zerg healing is a completely different game from small-scale PvP. You're not tracking four health bars — you're keeping a blob of 20+ players alive through siege damage, negate bombs, and coordinated enemy pushes. The Zerg Carry build is designed specifically for this chaos. Templar base class with Nightblade's Siphoning and Warden's Animal Companions gives you the healing toolkit, sustain engine, and survivability to keep your group alive through Whitestrake's Mayhem and Cyrodiil zerg warfare at its most intense. Running 64 points into health with 3 Heavy / 1 Medium / 3 Light armor, you hit over 31,000 health while still getting strong Light Armor passives for magicka recovery and spell penetration. Spell Power Cure provides Major Courage to everyone you heal at full health — in a zerg, that's a massive group-wide damage buff that makes your entire army hit harder. Earthgore fires off emergency burst heals when allies drop low, and Trial by Fire stacks resistances every time you heal. Blessing of the Potentates on the back bar reduces your ultimate cost, which matters enormously when you're cycling Reviving Barrier and Soul Siphon in every engagement.
Gear Breakdown
Spell Power Cure on jewelry and front bar weapon is the single best group support set for zerg play. Every time you heal someone at full health, they get Major Courage — a massive spell and weapon damage buff. In a zerg where you're blanketing the group with AoE heals, this means dozens of players are getting buffed simultaneously. That's a group-wide DPS increase that wins fights. Trial by Fire on body pieces stacks resistances every time you heal, keeping you personally tanky in the middle of the chaos. Earthgore on head and shoulders fires a burst heal at allies below 50% health — in zerg fights where people get chunked by siege and bomb damage, Earthgore saves lives you can't react to manually. Blessing of the Potentates on the back bar sword and shield reduces ultimate cost by 15%, letting you cycle Reviving Barrier for group shields and Soul Siphon for massive AoE healing more frequently. The 3 Heavy / 1 Medium / 3 Light split gives you Undaunted Mettle's 6% resource bonus, strong Light Armor magicka recovery for sustain, and enough Heavy Armor resistances to survive being in the middle of the pack.
Skills & Rotation
Your front bar is your primary healing station. Radiating Regeneration is your most important skill — it heals multiple targets with a strong HoT and procs Spell Power Cure for Major Courage. Keep it rolling at all times. Blessing of Restoration heals in a cone and applies buffs — face into the zerg and fire it. Healthy Offering from the Nightblade Siphoning line is your burst heal — it sacrifices a small amount of your health to deliver a massive targeted heal. With 31,000 health, you can afford the self-damage easily. Blue Betty gives you Major Sorcery for spell damage and restores magicka over time. Deceptive Predator provides Major Expedition for keeping up with the zerg and Minor Evasion for survivability. Reviving Barrier is your front bar ultimate — pop it when the enemy zerg pushes into your group and the damage shield saves everyone around you. Your back bar handles defense, sustain, and zerg-specific utility. Echoing Vigor is another strong AoE HoT that stacks with your front bar heals. Channeled Focus gives you resistances and magicka return — keep it active at all times. Extended Ritual provides a cleanse field that purges debuffs from your group, critical when enemy healers are dropping DOTs and snares on the zerg. Siege Weapon Shield is the zerg healer's secret weapon — it reduces siege damage taken for you and nearby allies by a huge amount. When your group is pushing through oil, ballistae, and meatbag catapult fire, this skill keeps people alive through damage that healing can't touch. Siphoning Attacks from the Nightblade line restores magicka and stamina on light and heavy attacks, giving you another sustain tool. Soul Siphon is your back bar ultimate — it heals you and nearby allies in a massive AoE, perfect for recovering after a bomb or siege hit.
Zerg Healing Tips
Stay mid-pack. Not at the front where you'll eat the first enemy negate or dawnbreaker, not at the back where you're out of range of the push group. Mid-pack means your AoE heals hit the most people and you're protected by bodies on all sides. Follow the crown — if your group leader calls a push, move with them. If they call a retreat, fall back immediately. A healer who overextends is a dead healer, and a dead healer heals nobody. Keep Siege Weapon Shield active whenever you're near keeps, resources, or anywhere siege equipment might be firing. The damage reduction is enormous and it's the difference between your group surviving a siege push and getting wiped. When the enemy zerg pushes into yours, that's when you pop Reviving Barrier. The damage shield gives your group time to react and your DPS time to dump their ultimates. Cycle between Barrier and Soul Siphon depending on the situation — Barrier for incoming damage, Soul Siphon for recovery after damage lands. In Whitestrake's Mayhem, fights are bigger and messier than normal. Don't try to save everyone — focus your burst heals on the crown caller and your group's key DPS players. Keep your AoE heals rolling for everyone else. Your Spell Power Cure Major Courage buff is doing as much work as your heals — every person you buff is doing more damage, which means fights end faster, which means less damage your group takes overall.
