Overview

This is the simplest, tankiest healer build you can run in ESO Battlegrounds. One bar. No bar swapping. Oakensoul Ring gives you Major Sorcery, Major Resolve, Minor Courage, Minor Mending, and a stack of other buffs — all passively, all the time, just by wearing one ring. That means every buff a two-bar build has to maintain through skill casts, you get for free. Your only job is healing your team and staying alive, and this build makes both of those things almost effortless. Running Templar as the base class with Arcanist's Curative Runeforms and Warden's Animal Companions as subclass lines, you get access to the best cleanse in the game (Extended Ritual), strong burst healing (Chakram of Destiny, Blessing of Restoration), and mobility (Deceptive Predator). With 64 points into health, 4 Heavy / 2 Medium / 1 Light armor, Fortified Brass for flat resistance, and Lord Warden giving your entire team a resistance buff when you take damage, you hit over 31,000 health and resistance numbers that make enemies waste their ultimates trying to kill you. In Battlegrounds where fights are fast and chaotic, being unkillable is the best thing a healer can be.

Gear Breakdown

Every set in this build serves one purpose — making you impossible to kill while you keep your team alive. Fortified Brass on body gives you a flat resistance bonus that's always active with no proc condition. You don't have to heal someone or take damage or press a button — the resistances are just there. That's exactly what you want on a one-bar build where simplicity is the goal. Robes of Transmutation on jewelry, hands, and the front bar weapon gives your group Major Resolve when you heal them, which stacks their resistances too. Your entire team gets tankier just because you exist. Lord Warden on head and shoulders creates a resistance-boosting field around you when you take damage — in Battlegrounds where you're constantly under pressure, this procs non-stop and buffs everyone nearby. Oakensoul Ring takes the second ring slot and gives you 13 passive buffs including Major Sorcery for spell damage, Major Resolve for even more resistances, Minor Mending for healing done, and Minor Courage for spell and weapon damage. On a two-bar build you'd need 4-5 skill slots to maintain these buffs. Oakensoul gives them all for free.

Skills & Priority

With only five skill slots, every choice matters. Extended Ritual is your cleanse — drop it on the ground and it purges debuffs and DOTs from your team. In Battlegrounds where every enemy is spamming poison, bleeds, and snares, this skill single-handedly keeps your team functional. Blessing of Restoration is your cone heal that applies buffs and heals everyone in front of you — position yourself behind your team and fire it forward. Radiating Regeneration is your bread-and-butter HoT that keeps passive healing ticking on everyone. Chakram of Destiny from the Arcanist line is your burst heal — fast, targeted, and hits hard when someone drops low. Deceptive Predator gives you Major Expedition for repositioning and Minor Evasion for dodge chance — critical for getting out of trouble in BGs where there's nowhere to hide. Reviving Barrier is your ultimate — the massive damage shield protects your entire team and can swing a fight when the enemy dumps damage on your group. Your priority is simple: keep Radiating Regeneration rolling at all times, drop Extended Ritual before or during fights, use Blessing of Restoration for group healing, and hit Chakram of Destiny when someone needs a burst heal. Use Deceptive Predator to reposition. That's it. No bar swap, no buff management, no complexity.

Battlegrounds Tips

Battlegrounds are smaller and faster than Cyrodiil — fights happen in tight spaces and you can't run away the same way you can in open-world PvP. That's exactly why this build works. You don't need to kite for three minutes — you just need to survive the burst and out-heal the pressure until your DPS finishes the job. Position yourself behind your team, not in front. If you're the first person the enemy sees, you're going to eat their opening burst. Let your DPS engage first, then step in behind them and start healing. If the enemy team ignores you and focuses your DPS, that's ideal — keep healing through it. If they switch to focus you, that's also fine — with 31,000 health, 4 Heavy armor, Fortified Brass resistances, Lord Warden procing, and Oakensoul buffs, they're going to waste a lot of resources trying to kill you while your DPS goes unanswered. For objective-based modes like Crazy King or Chaosball, stay on the point. A healer who sits on the capture point and refuses to die is the most valuable player in the match. Pop Reviving Barrier when the enemy team collapses on the objective and watch them burn their ultimates into your damage shield. Don't chase kills. Don't overextend. Your job is to keep your team alive and stay on objectives. This build makes that job almost impossible to fail at.
