Overview

The One-Bar Ult Gen build is a PvP support tank designed for casual and organized group play. Using the Oakensoul Ring mythic, this build eliminates bar swapping entirely while stacking ultimate generation passives from three subclass lines — Animal Companions (Warden), Siphoning (Nightblade), and Dark Magic (Sorcerer). The result is a tanky support that can cycle Negate Magic at an incredible rate, locking down enemy groups while keeping your team alive.

Why This Subclass Combo?

Each subclass line was chosen specifically for its ultimate generation passives. Animal Companions brings Savage Beast — generating ultimate when you activate an Animal Companions ability. Siphoning contributes Catalyst (ult gen from potion use) and Transfer (ult gen from Light/Heavy attacks). Dark Magic provides access to Negate Magic (morphed to Absorption Field), one of the most impactful group PvP ultimates in the game. Together with Nord's Stalwart passive and Bloodspawn's proc, your ultimate bar fills at an absurd rate.

Gear Strategy

Arkasis Genius is the centerpiece — every time you drink a potion, it generates ultimate for your entire group. Combined with Catalyst from Siphoning, potions become an ult-generating machine. Druid's Braid provides sustain and survivability on a one-bar setup. Bloodspawn gives extra ult gen on taking damage, plus a resistances proc that keeps you alive. Oakensoul Ring provides Minor Heroism (passive ult gen) plus a stack of permanent buffs that compensate for only having one bar — Major Courage, Major Brutality/Sorcery, Major Resolve, and more.

Skills & Rotation

Your skill bar is straightforward — Healthy Offering for burst healing, Blessing of Restoration for group buffs, Radiating Regeneration for sustained HoTs, Warding Contingency for a cleanse and shield, and Deceptive Predator for Major Expedition. Since this is a one-bar build, there's no bar swap complexity. Keep your buffs up, heal reactively, and drop Absorption Field the moment it's ready. The build thrives on ult cycling — you'll have Negate back up before the previous one expires.

Playstyle Tips

Position near your group's damage dealers so your Negate covers the fight. Use potions on cooldown — every potion triggers Arkasis and Catalyst for double ult gen. Keep Deceptive Predator active for speed and evasion. This build is beginner-friendly because there's no bar swap, but the skill ceiling comes from Negate placement and timing. A well-placed Absorption Field during an enemy ult dump can single-handedly win a fight.
