Overview

This is a 2026 meta refresh of the original One-Bar Ult Gen support build from Update 46. The burst meta in Update 49 is out of control — 18k damage combos are melting healers before they can press a button. Rather than just tweaking a few gear pieces, this build was rebuilt from the ground up. The philosophy is the same — simple one-bar support healer that cycles Negate as fast as possible — but every choice now prioritizes surviving the initial burst so you can actually do your job. If you liked the original build but found yourself getting deleted in the current meta, this is the answer.

What Changed from the U46 Version

Compare the old and new builds using The Hist optimizer. Key changes: Breton to Nord for flat health and resistances. The Shadow to The Lady mundus for raw resistances over crit damage. Animal Companions subclass swapped for Earthen Heart (Dragonknight) — this gives Major Resolve via Shatterspike Mantle and the Blessing at the Peak passive for bonus ult gen at certain ultimate thresholds. Druid's Braid replaced by Mark of the Pariah for scaling resistances that kick in hardest when you're in danger. 5 Medium / 2 Heavy flipped to 6 Heavy / 1 Medium, fully committing to tankiness. Bloodspawn dropped for 1pc Roksa the Warped for flat recovery — ult gen is already covered through passives and Arkasis. Deceptive Predator swapped for Race Against Time since Animal Companions is no longer a subclass line. The result: tripled resistances and a huge chunk of extra max health while maintaining the ult gen engine.

Gear Breakdown

Mark of the Pariah is the star of the show. The lower your health drops, the more resistances it gives you — so right when a burst combo lands and you're in danger, that's when Pariah kicks in hardest. Five body pieces, all heavy armor with Impenetrable trait and Prismatic Defense glyphs across the board. Arkasis's Genius stays from the original build — it's still the best set for what we're doing. Every potion use generates bonus ultimate for you and your group, and it's the engine that keeps Negate cycling. Jewelry runs Infused with Magicka Recovery glyphs, and the Restoration Staff is Powered with Absorb Magicka. For the monster set, we've dropped Bloodspawn entirely and run a one-piece Roksa the Warped on the head slot in Medium for the Undaunted Mettle passive bonus. Our ult gen is already covered through Siphoning and Earthen Heart passives plus Arkasis, so the flat recovery from Roksa is more valuable than a proc we don't need. And of course, Oakensoul Ring — all those Major and Minor buffs active at all times with zero bar management.

Skills and Subclass Synergy

Earthen Heart is the biggest brain pick in this build. Shatterspike Mantle gives us Major Resolve — a massive resistance buff we were missing before. But the real hidden gem is Blessing at the Peak, the Earthen Heart passive that gives bonus ultimate generation when you hit certain ult thresholds. Combined with Arkasis and our other ult gen tools, we're cycling Negate at a ridiculous pace. Siphoning stays as the second subclass — Healthy Offering is still one of the best burst heals in the game, and because it's a Siphoning skill, it triggers the Transfer passive for even more ult gen. The bar: Healthy Offering for burst healing, Blessing of Restoration and Radiating Regeneration for sustained group healing, Shatterspike Mantle for Major Resolve, and Race Against Time from the Psijic line for speed and mobility. Ultimate is Absorption Field — drop it on the enemy stack to shut down abilities and heal your team simultaneously.

Champion Points and Playstyle

CP has shifted fully defensive. Soothing Tide, Resilience, Unassailable, and Ironclad in Warfare — boosting HoT healing, healing received, block mitigation, and direct damage reduction. In Fitness, Fortified for flat armor, Sustained by Suffering for health recovery when low, Pain's Refuge for damage reduction when low, and Celerity for movement speed. Every slottable is picked to reduce incoming damage or keep you alive under pressure. The playstyle philosophy: you're not trying to out-heal the burst. You're built to absorb the initial hit, stay on your feet, and then turn the fight with your ultimates. Keep your HoTs rolling, use Healthy Offering reactively when someone spikes, drink potions on cooldown to trigger Arkasis, and drop Negate the moment it's up. When you get focused, trust your resistances — Pariah scales up as your health drops, buying you time to heal yourself back up.
